# of Interpretations for Rotten Apples: 1 E-mail Aaron with your own video interpretations.

The video is black and white and grainy, skipping from time to time like an old movie reel. Throughout the video none of the words of the song match up to what billy is mouthing and other people in the band take over talking at times. Before the song starts the band is in a little room with a low celing (billy can touch the top with no trouble) one wall is completely filled with writing, another on the opposite side is replaced completly with a window. The song starts and the band stands around mouthing things that don't go with the words like "who cares" or "why love me". When it gets to "when will i see her again" the camera cuts outside to a woman holding a rose, standing on the street, just looking up. Back to the little room where Billy is still mouthing words to the camera until the woman catches his eye. He presses his hands to the window and looks down longingly at the woman. He mouthes something to the effect of "love me" but the woman only looks down to the rose. Whe it gets to "she'll never listen again" Billy seems to not stand it any longer and he goes to the writing was and scribbles at it wildly. Meanwhile the rest of the band is also trying to communicate with the woman. The woman only cups her hands around the rose. Finally, at "life just fades away" Billy turns with the rest of the band to the window. The woman pulls one of the petals off the rose, looks up with her mascara streaming down her face and crushed the rose. "dust to dust" ends with billy shrinking to the fetel position on the window while the rest of the band turns away. "wired into sadness"
