(Intro Music)
As the mechanic sounding music starts you are given the image of a baby at sleep. When the mechanical sounds end and the guitar part begins you see images of a typical early childhood.Visions of a playground, football with dad and cookies from mom andall that good family stuff. (Faith lies in, The ways of sin, I chased the charmed, but I don'twant them anymore) When Billy starts singing with the word “Faith” the flashing imagesstop and center on a picture of the crucifix in a church with a olderman kneeling with his head in his hands bowed. The camera pans aroundand focuses in on his face. As the man raises his head you can see asingle tear fall from his face. The camera then goes close up intohis eye. (And in their eyes I was alive, A fool's disguise, Take me away fromyou) The camera is then put into a flashback of his past again. This time as a teenager, you see an image of him in a fight with his father, an image of him doing drugs and passing out. As he passes out the camera fades to black. (Shame my tongue, Fat with promise all along, But when I woke up from that sleep, I was happier than I'd ever been, When you decide, Thatyour life is a prize, Renew and revive, It's all right honey, It's alright, yeah) When the camera comes back its now of him as a young adult maybe early20’s.You can see him in the walking out of a drug rehab facility and intothe arms of a woman. (Happiness will make you wonder, Will I feel OK? It scares the disenchanted, Far away, Yeah I want something new, But what am I supposed to do about you, Yeah I love you, it's true, Life's a bummer,When you're a hummer, Life's a drag) Next you see more flashing images of his life. You see the marriageof the two. You see him getting fired from his job. And in all of this you can see him having resentment for his life as the pictures of him get older. (Ask yourself a question, anyone but me, I ain't free) (Ask yourself a question, anyone but me, I ain't free) (Do you feel, Love is real?) As the song closes you see him sitting next to his wife in theemergency room looking into the eyes of his first child. And as the video started, it closes with the image of an almost angelic child.
