# of Interpretations for Dreaming: 1 E-mail Aaron with your own video interpretations.

*As the techno pop music plays at the beginning, the camera faces a diner in which you can see D'Arcy and James working, an alley in which you see Billy sitting next to a wall, and Jimmy walking down the street in a suit and loose tie. As the techno continues, the camera closes in on the diner, nothing really fancy, something that would be called, 'Stacey's' or something. You see D'Arcy behind the counter wiping it off and pushing her hair behind her ears when it falls out of place. You see darkish circles under her eyes and you can tell that she has been working hard. You also see James behind her. He is in a chief outfit and is sweating slightly, as he cooks over a stove. You then see a very handsome man outside of the diner. He walks by, barely noticing D'Arcy. But once he takes another look at her, he enters the diner and sits down on one at one of the tables to watch her.*

(When you met me in the restaurant, you could tell I was no debutante.)
*the man walks up to the counter and begins talking to her.*
(You asked me what's my pleasure, a movie or a measure.)
*the man takes out a beautiful necklace and lays it in front of her and next to that a glamorous, engagement-looking, ring.*

*D'Arcy smiles as she mouths, 'I'll have a cup of tea, and tell you of my dreaming.' As she sings 'dreaming' she waves her arm in an arc and the scene changes to a beautiful, grassy hill where there are beautiful flowers etc.. She is dressed in a beautiful, yet simple, dress, and is holding a bouquet of flowers. As she sings the last "Dreaming is free", you see her still on the hill but now she is smiling and holding a small blonde boy, (presumably her child)*

*During the break before the 2nd verse, the man gets up, shakes his head, straightens his jacket and takes back the jewelry and leaves. D'Arcy sighs a bit sadly, look back at James, and then get back to washing the counters. The camera then catches up with the man as he passes by Billy as tosses a quarter into his hand and then pulls his jacket up and walks away. Billy is wearing a winter hat, and heavy coat. You see homeless looking Billy look at the quarter in his hand carefully.*

(I don't want to live on charity. Pleasure's real or is it fantasy?)
*Billy gets up and begins walking as he sings. He drops the quarter to the ground as he takes off the hat and as he passes the diner, D'Arcy joins him as the walk.*

(Reel to reel is living rarity, people stop and stare at me.)
*The continue to walk down the sidewalk as D'Arcy takes off her apron and Billy his coat, both of these are discarded to the ground.*

(We just walk on by, we just keep on dreaming.)
*James joins them and takes off his chief hat.*

(Feet, feet: walking a two mile, meet, meet: meet me at the turnstile. Never met him, I'll never forget him.)
*Jimmy joins them and throws his tie down as well as a cigarette he had been smoking. You also see D'Arcy take off her high heels and is now barefoot. The band discards all the unnecessary, until Billy is in pants and a ragged shirt, James is in jeans and a shirt, Jimmy is wearing a dress shirt that is unbuttoned at the top, and D'Arcy has her hair untied and is walking barefoot. The band continues walking down the street as D'Arcy sings and leads the group.*

(Dream, dream: even for a little while. Dream, dream: filling up an idle hour. Fade away, radiate.)
*You now see the band looking bandish on the same grassy hill, only now it is night. Once D'Arcy sings, 'fade away, radiate', the band is engulfed in a white light and disappears.*

(I sit by and watch the river flow, I sit by and watch the traffic go.)

*Billy is now in front and they are all walking along side a busy road. As Billy sings, 'Imagine something of your very own, something you can have and hold.', Jimmy reveals a beautiful heart in his hands that reads, "Love", across it. He looks at it a moment and then throws it up and is showers down glittery.*

(I'd build a road of gold, just to have some dreaming.)
*You now see that as the band walks down the sidewalk, the dirty, broken concrete is being replaced by a shimmering golden path. You see all of the band members side to side from the back as the walk down the sidewalk of gold.*

*The camera pans up into the starry sky and then fades out*
