June 15, 2007 - Pannonia Fields - Nickelsdorf, Austria Concert review by Belinda I was really looking forward to seeing a long awaited tour by Smashing Pumpkins and was lucky enough to catch them at Nova Rock Festival. Honestly, i didnt have high expectations since it was not the original band and i thought Corgan lacked enthusiasm and real passion on stage like before. Was a bit gutted with thier setlist and lack of solos too! Really wanted some more heavy stuff. Cherub Rock was the best song played by far - Corgan did show real passion and it seemed like he was really enjoying himself. Although i'm still a big big fan, the old smashing pumpkins were absoluetly amazing compared. I'm not sorry that i saw them though and would probably see them again, you just can't beat their old stuff.
