November 14, 2008 - Citi Wang Theatre - Boston, MA Concert review by Kevin (tool224 at yahoo dot com) This show was a joke. Literally. I'm not going to complain too much about the setlist, it was somewhat strange but I was enjoying myself until they got to the dull, drawn-out, 20 minute Floyd cover. Then the lights came on, some idiot came out dressed like Manny Ramirez, and Billy decided to rip into everyone in Boston for their sports teams and for not cheering hard enough. They launched into "We Only Come Out at Night", which Billy had admitted in the past is a terrible song, just to stick it to the fans some more. He then ended the show by rubbing it in our face that we had just wasted $50+ on "pain and confusion." So I guess my point is... if Billy was going to spend half the evening mocking his fans, maybe he should have done it at a free show- not charging full price to a few thousand people who were expecting to hear real music, rather than a bad joke at our expense.
